Effective ABA Therapy Successess
Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science based therapy used to support children, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), by improving how they learn, communicate, and interact with the world around them.
ABA focuses on how behavior works, how learning happens, and how a child's environment impacts their behavior.
It teaches communication- verbal or non-vocal expession, learning readiness- following directions, focus, participation, joint attention- sharing focus with others, social skills- turn-taking, greetings, making friends and daily living skills- dressing, toileting, hygiene.
Comprehensive Behavior Assessments
We conducted a thorough behavioral assessment for children, identifying individual needs and challenges. Using evidence-based tools, we developed detailed profiles to tailor personalized ABA therapy plans. This approach ensured that each child received targeted interventions, leading to measurable improvements in behavior and social skills.
The four functions can be remember with the acronym SEAT.
S- Sensory- automative, for sensory input or comfort
E- Escape- to avoid a task or situation
A- Attention- to get noticed
T- Tangible- access, to get a desired item or activity
Positive Reinforcement
ABA uses positive reinforcement to motivate children. When your child does something well, they're rewarded with something meaningful to them - a favorite toy, praise, bubbles, or even a quick dance party!
As your child progresses, our analyst and technicians at Behavior Speaks ABA work toward "thinning" reinforcement - helping them need fewer rewards over time while still maintaining progress.
"The support from Behavior Speaks ABA changed our child's life - and yours. The care is real."
- A grateful parent
